Day Boat Hire on the Kennet & Avon Canal

Why not enjoy a lazy day afloat on the beautiful Kennet and Avon Canal aboard one of Sally Narrowboats’ Dayboats, Jacy , Emily, Sally (pictured below) or Grace. A typical day on our day boat is west to the Aqueduct at Avoncliff.  If you travel east you can go as far as the locks at Semington.

Day boats are designed to carry up to 10 people (including children and infants), but you don’t have to have that many on board – two adults can easily manage the boat.

Whether you want to celebrate a special occasion, reward your staff or valued customers or simply enjoy a day out with friends and family, a trip on our day boats will be a memorable day out.

You can order a full cream tea, or a grazing boxes when you book with us.  If you order food, you are giving your approval to be contacted about your dietary requirements.

We show you how to operate the boat safely and make sure you are comfortable before heading out. This can take up to half an hour as we will ensure you are happy with the instructions before handing the boat over.  We can provide a skipper at extra cost, with enough notice. A skipper will be included in party’s number.
